Stainless steel industrial pipes are essential for corrosive, high-pressure, and hygienic applications. They are used in oil & gas, chemical processing, food & beverage, and water treatment due to their rust resistance, strength, and cleanability.
ASTM A312 is the standard specification for seamless, welded, and heavily cold-worked austenitic stainless steel pipes used in high-temperature and corrosive service applications. It is one of the most widely used standards for industrial stainless steel piping.
ANSI/ASME B36.19 DIMENSION
ASTM A312 stainless steel pipe sizes and dimensions should conform to ANSI B36.19, nominal pipe size (NPS) ranges from NPS 1/8 [10.29 mm] to NPS 80 [2032 mm], Schedule number for wall thickness from Sch 5s to Sch xxs, more Pipe Schedule Sizes are specified for special applications, the value stated respectively for a specific size, average wall and minimum wall pipe are available.
