ASTM A358 stainless steel pipe covers electric-fusion-welded austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel pipe for high-temperature and general corrosive service. The specification defines manufacturing classes, welding, heat treatment, examination, dimensions, and testing requirements.
For quotation, specify the ASTM A358 class, grade, outside diameter, wall thickness, length, heat treatment, examination, quantity, and documentation requirements. Compare ASTM A312 pipe for seamless, welded, or heavily cold-worked pipe, and ASTM A778 welded pipe for appropriate lower-pressure applications. ANSI/ASME B36.19 DIMENSION
ASTM A358 pipes follow the same dimensional standards as ASME B36.19 for stainless steel pipes, with additional welding requirements.
